DISASTER PREPAREDNESS Department

Life is precious and paramount and it’s a gift from God. We cant ignorer anything that might lead to the loss of life in this school

 

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Disaster preparedness was a department that was created in the year 2013 to make sure that there is safety in schools so that our Precious Blood Kagwe Girls community that is the student, the staff the non-teaching staff and any other living thing that live within the school compound are safe and free from any disaster

 

DISASTERS THAT THE CLUB TRIES TO AVOID

  1. fire disaster
  2. Accidents internal and external
  3. Theft
  4. Unwanted intruders

 

OBJECTIVES

  1. To make our school free from any disaster
  2. To protect and safeguard our community
  3. To instill the skills on how to respond incase of any disaster e.g. The evacuation process
  4. To train our community on any accidents
  5. To instill the community on how to use the facilities in schools like fire extinguishers, fire blankets and sand bucketing

 

ACHIEVEMENTMENTS

I am glad to announce that the recommendation that I wish and present is to our principal Mrs. Gitonga. Some of our objectives have been achieved:

1. All houses and dormitories are safe incase of any disasters

2. The dormitories’ doors open outwards

3. The windows are free from grills and there are exit doors

4. The dormitories are spacious and not congested

5. The dormitories are free from any flammable material

6. The sockets are repaired and no loose or hanging wires

7. The school has a computerized alarm clock

8. There are enough fire extinguishers in the school

9. Security lights have been added

 The department ha s achieved a lot of the named above just a few left
