Kagwe Girls secondary school was founded by the Precious Blood Missionary Sisters in 1966 as a Harambee school. The school is under the sponsorships of the Catholic Archdiocese of Nairobi. Between 1996-2006 the school was headed by Sr.Silvanna; Sr.Engelberta;,Sr Pacis and lastly Sr. Ann Walton who left in June 2006.
Lay Principals have hence run the school

Ms. Esther Mathenge headed the school between June-December 2006.

Mrs. Rose Kiragu took over.
Precious Blood Kagwe Girls has improved from a mean of 5.173 to the current 9.16 which was achieved in 2011 and the school was ranked number 1 in the district category. The Form Four’s achieved a mean of 8.48 and we are confident that next year they will achieve higher.
Precious Blood Kagwe Girls’ offers 13 subjects in Form 1 and 2 while students in Form 3 and 4 take 8 of them. Our performance is enhanced by the grace of God and the culture of teamwork from all stakeholders. The students’ level of discipline is high. The teachers are very hardworking and self-giving. PTA and BoG are quite supportive and co-operative while the non-teaching staff are very committed to their work. These practices help in walking the talk of our school motto “Let your light shine” and our school anthem. Our belief is that every man or woman has an element/of geniality and thus we can accomplish all worthwhile intended achievement. For Precious Blood Kagwe Girls’, “The sky is the beginning of the limit.”

We are one big family; staff, students, support staff and parents! It is our mission to make Precious Blood Kagwe Girls the best girls school in the Country. So far, the school is doing well in anticipation of a bountiful harvest!
Through teamwork, we continue molding and educating girls to become holistically grounded to serve anywhere around the globe. Our target grade, 2014 is 9.42 plus (B).
No life is free from challenges or difficulties, but in God we trust, we shall overcome!

The precious blood is a school to be a hub of knowledge, skills, and spiritual growth. We are highly endowed with great minds both students and teachers and a strong-willed support staff. Service is our mantle and we endeavor to make the life of anyone who reaches us turn to gold. Whoever comes to us is a grem and we hold them dear. Work with us through the experience if P.B Kagwe girls and you will never look back.
The management and the sponsor of the school, hold it dear. They give it their all to ensure the school gets to the top. As a team, we are committed in ensuring that we live our motto.
